Dave Barrett Getting to work with new web technologies
6:30 PM | The Science Gallery, Trinity College, Dublin
Books, links and Twitter recommendations from last night’s talk
My name is David Barrett. I’m the front-end developer at Contrast, where I’ve worked for the past two years. I’ve been building websites in some form or another for the last sixteen years, and that scares the hell out of me. I’m smarter than the average bear and taller than most, if not all, popes.
At this talk I will do three things: I will introduce you to some new front-end technologies like HTML5 and CSS3, I will show you different ways of using these new technologies in your projects, and I will guide you through some cool little demos to show you implementation details and some gotchas.
